Jacqueline Jaquez

Jacqueline Jaquez is a therapist in training at New Growth Counseling, where she is completing her internship and is on track to become a fully licensed mental health therapist in the state of New Mexico. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Family Studies, Jacqueline is currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health. Her diverse experience includes working in hospitals and non-profit organizations, where she has supported children, adolescents, and adults, particularly those who have experienced severe trauma.

As a former first responder, Jacqueline brings a unique perspective to her work, especially in her commitment to serving first responders and military communities. Her deep understanding of the challenges faced by these groups informs her approach to therapy, where she strives to provide tailored support to help them navigate their demanding roles and the associated mental health impacts.

In her practice, Jacqueline utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address issues of self-shame, guilt, and the behavioral patterns that influence daily life. She is dedicated to helping her clients achieve genuine happiness, healing, and personal growth. Offering both in-person and Telehealth sessions, Jacqueline ensures that her services are accessible and flexible, meeting the varied needs of her clients.

Jacqueline is passionate about guiding her clients through their journeys of self-discovery and healing, whether they are trauma survivors, first responders, or military personnel. As she nears the completion of her internship, she looks forward to continuing her work as a fully licensed therapist, providing compassionate and insightful care to those she serves.
