Veronica Torres, LMSW
Veronica Torres, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker with specialized experience serving first responders, veterans, active-duty service members, and military families. She combines strong clinical training with direct field collaboration through her work as a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) clinician and trainer.In her role within CIT, Veronica has worked alongside law enforcement and public safety professionals to support crisis response, behavioral health intervention, and cross-system coordination. She understands the operational tempo, cumulative stress exposure, and cultural dynamics unique to service-oriented professions.Veronica is a Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) in the state of New Mexico and holds first responder-focused certifications in peer support and crisis-informed care. Her clinical approach integrates trauma-informed, evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused interventions, to address PTSD, occupational stress injuries, burnout, anxiety, depression, moral injury, and transitional challenges.Her work emphasizes culturally competent care, practical skill-building, and stigma reduction within high-performance professions. As a military spouse, Veronica also understands the impact of service on families and is deeply committed to supporting both those who serve and the loved ones who stand beside them.Veronica is currently a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) candidate with a focus on strengthening behavioral health access and peer support systems for first responders in rural communities. She is dedicated to providing respectful, confidential, and clinically sound care tailored to the unique realities of public safety and military life.
