Leslie A. Lucero is a fervent and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who practices in New Mexico. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Communication from the University of New Mexico, earned in 2020, she has a solid foundation in understanding human behavior and effective interpersonal communication. Leslie furthered her education by securing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2023, equipping her with advanced therapeutic skills to serve her clients effectively.

Leslie specializes in delivering a wide range of mental health services, including individual therapy, couples counseling, therapy for adolescents, and group therapy sessions. Her clinical practice is especially attuned to the needs of public safety personnel and their families—a dedication stemming from her personal connection as the wife and family member of first responders and military veterans.

Understanding the distinctive pressures and challenges that accompany professions in law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services, dispatching, and military service, Leslie offers tailored support. She is adept in utilizing cutting-edge therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories Protocol (RTM), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which are particularly beneficial in treating trauma and stress-related disorders.
