Patrick Ficke, MA, LMHC

Patrick Ficke is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New Mexico. He graduated from Eastern New Mexico University in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in Psychology. Following this, he obtained a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Psychology.

With over 9 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Patrick is committed to providing mental health services to public safety personnel and their families. At New Growth Counseling, LLC, Patrick offers individual, couples, family, and group therapy, in addition to crisis intervention, critical incident stress management, and peer support.

Drawing from his background as a retired first responder, Patrick brings valuable insights into the unique challenges faced by law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, and dispatchers. He is proficient in therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories Protocol (RTM), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Families System (IFS) Parts Therapy.

Patrick’s core strengths lie in empathy, communication, cultural competence, and ethical practice. His mission is to assist public safety professionals and their loved ones in navigating stress, trauma, and other mental health issues while promoting their well-being and resilience.
